| Review Summary:
This is one course that I can't really say anything good about. Well,
the price was pretty cheap, so I guess that will do. |
| Conditions:
The conditions were average at best. The greens were very
inconsistent. One was hard and fast, the next was soft and slow.
The tee boxes were terrible. Uneven and in tough
shape. I teed up several times outside of the markers because of the
conditions. The fairways on several holes were pretty bad. I had a few
deadpan lies in the middle of the fairway. Yuck. |
| Scenery:
Decent scenery. Lots of country to see,
only two or so on-course homes. |
Layout:
This is where the course is weak. There are several holes
that are just senseless. A few par four's that require short irons off
the tee with tight dog-legs and blind shots. If you don't know the
course you will be clueless on what club or direction to play.
The opening par five leaves a blind second shot around a dog-leg, the
second hole is a longer par three , miss the green and the ball is in
the muck.
A par five on the back is double dog-legged and from the tee you have no
clue how far to hit the ball.
5 or 6 senseless holes that ruin the round. Groups on the tee have no
idea on what club to hit so they end up walking out to get an idea and
this backs everything up.
We had 2-3 groups on many of the tees scratching their heads. Ugh! |
| Services:
No ranger to be found and the pace of play was terribly slow. a 5+ hour
round because of slow play is unacceptable.
I've played this course a few times and each visit was
like the last one. Slow and frustrating. |
