| Review Summary:
Played here for the first time in a few years this past Saturday. The
course was in good overall condition. Even the assistant in the pro shop
admited that the greens were in the worst condition they have seen in
the past 20 years. With that being said, I still love this course! It
plays very fair and has a lot of variety of holes. It streaches out to
about 7000 yards +/- from the tips and has plenty of water and sand to
frame out a lot of the holes. 1, 8, 9, and 16 are great risk/reward
holes! The layout is great and the scenery is always beautiful. |
| Conditions:
The greens were a bit rough, but so
is everyones this year with the harsh winter. Otherwise very playable.
The price is perfect considering 2 temp greens |
| Scenery:
The course
is always very pretty with the trees and flowers. The lakes/ponds always
add a nice touch here too. |
| Layout: I
love the layout! right off the bat you are faced with a decision that
could leave you putting for eagle on the reachable downhill par 4 1st
hole. Holes 8, 9, and 16 are also risk/reward holes that will tempt you
to really get into one and have eagle putts. Hole 2 is the only blind
shot on the course and it's a great dog leg right. The greens will
challenge you and really make you think about your approach shots. |
| Services:
Service is always top notch from the club house to Axle's! |

| Review Summary:
A well manicured course. Not a lot of variety in the holes, but an
enjoyable experience. Generous fairways. Greens ran true. Don't need to
have your best game to put together a good score here. |
| Conditions:
No complaints here. Nice and green
when I played it. Greens were medium in speed. Fairways were in great
shape and closely cut. |
| Scenery:
Amid a
housing development (Wedgewood, which is what this course apparently used
to be called.) Woodbury seems to have a few courses like this tucked into
developments. They have flower beds and an impressive looking clubhouse to
add to the visual appeal here at Prestwick, unlike some of the others. |
| Layout: Fairways
are pretty generous. Fairly short course and lots of dog legs to snake it
through the housing developments. One thing I like is that you never have
to guess where you want to hit it. One complaint is that 2 tee boxes back
up to very noisy, busy roads. |
| Services:
I played here on a Wednesday, and can't recall seeing a beverage cart. I
was treated to my round by a vendor, so I did not deal with the pro shop. |
