| Review Summary:
A challenging and unusually pretty public course, and a hell of a deal
at $25 per round. Older folks may want a cart, though... its hilly. My
favorite course in northern Minnesota, for any price. |
| Conditions:
Usually "good". Not outstanding, but much better than you would expect for
the price. |
| Scenery:
Its a pretty course with a view of Lake Superior from 600 feet up, lots of
scenic overlooks, The view looking down on the St Louis River from 13 tee
is truly memorable |
| Layout:
Very well done, with the exception of the "Back" Nine, which is old
fashioned and has some frankly dumb holes. Play Front-Middle if you can.
If you only have time for 9, play the Middle Nine, unless you are a
scratch shooter, in which case the Front nine is for you. |
| Services:
Ah, well, its a public course. They are friendly and competent, and make a
good hamburger. But if you want something better, plan on eating
elsewhere. |
